BONOTTO's Fabrics Room

in Collaboration with IUAV University of Venice; Department of Architecture and Arts; Undergraduate Degree in Fashion Design and Multimedia Arts; Graduate Degree in Fashion and Visual Arts

Fabrics Room is a didactic lab functional for the education of future fashion designers.
A creative space where students can develop their projects having at disposal the best fabrics made by Bonotto, which is an internationally famed company in fashion's domain about research and trends creating.
Fabrics Room is a new and innovative project bound to create new synergies with fashion's schools of all the world.

The Fabrics Room's project considers the presence of Bonotto's samples at IUAV seat of Fashion's Design: one set of samples from just finished collection, and one set of faulty samples.
In the Fabrics Room prepared inside Faculty of Fashion's Design, there are A4 size textiles samples of Bonotto's Collection for students' preparation: they can see and analyze, touch and cut available fabrics, and they can sharpen their own work.
Fabrics Room's access is organized by teachers responsible for the courses involved.
The project is addressed to the students of second and third years of undergraduate degree, and the students of first and second years of graduate degree. It started at the beginning of April 2014 and now it is at operating speed with the commissions drive and the textiles selection.

Fabrics will be used for realizing garments that will model and will be exposed during the open day Fashion at IUAV in July, and during other events, expositions and festivals organized by University or where University and its students will be participants.
Garments realized with Bonotto's textiles will cannot be commercialized.
