The Program includes at
5.30 pm in the room SMT06 - Polo Santa Marta the presentation of the performance by Patrizio Peterlini Director of the Fondazione Bonotto, with the presence of the three performers and followed by
6.00pm in the adjacent CORTE OVEST - Polo Santa Marta the performance will take place which will propose a journey through the historical development of sound poetry experiences starting from the historical avant-gardes up to contemporary productions.

The roots of poetry lie in vocality. Then for centuries poetic prosody weaves its rhythmic scenarios between sound and silence in writing. Finally, the twentieth century of the avant-garde explodes between phonetic acrobatics and onomatopoeic games, until "sound poetry" emerges on the horizon on its path towards intermediality. The voices of the three performers will reveal the acoustic secrets of poetic creativity.

Agostino Contò has combined his work as a librarian and book historian with that of a sound and visual poet and curator of visual poetry exhibitions. He has recited texts by himself and others in various performances, collaborating in magazines and poetic series.

Mauro Dal Fior, poet and performer, has turned his artistic interests above all to concrete poetry and the historical avant-garde, becoming the interpreter of a "total poetry" which has sound and noise as expressive means, the the object, the painting, the installation, the gesture and the body.

Giovanni Fontana, one of the most important exponents of visual and sound poetry not only in Italy, theorist of the relationship between orality and writing in poetic performance, has taken part in the major international sound poetry festivals. For Fontana the poetic text is a living organism, which transforms by expanding into the sound space and affecting all our senses.
