Fondazione Bonotto in collaboration with Operaestate and the artists Christine Ellison, Erato Tzavara and Nicholas Ward are pleased to invite you to the sharing of the "Hummingbirds and Hamburgers" project: a post-digital event, inspired by the Fluxus scores from the Luigi Bonotto Collection, developed following a residency and an intensive workshop with local under25 students.
The "Hummingbirds and Hamburgers" project aims to develop critical engagement with graphical user interfaces (GUIs) through performance. In a series of workshops, participants were invited to reflect on the language of common graphical interfaces through a re-reading of the Fluxus experimental scores and Happenings.
This project stems from a research collaboration between artist / researcher Christine Ellison (UK), Erato Tzavara (GR) and Nicholas Ward (IE). For this residency, in collaboration with the Bonotto Foundation and Operaestate Festival, Vassilis Tzavaras (Gnous Collective, GR), Maria Pisiou and Fer Gonzales-Morales (Lost Movement Collective, NL) and director Robbie McKane (United Kingdom) joined ), in collaboration with local students
The project was developed in collaboration with the University of Reading (UK) and the University of Limerick (IE) . Supported using public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England and Onassis-Stegi Outward Turn Program (Athens).
