Opening of Study Centre SCORE

On the 2nd of April, in the occasion of the festival “Incroci di civiltà”, Study Centre on Verbo-Visual Research, SCORE will be presented, thanks to the collaboration between Fondazione Bonotto and Dipartimento di Filosofia e Beni Culturali of Università Ca Foscari, Venezia.
During the presentation, Lamberto Pignotti (one of the main theorist of the Visual Poetry) is going to give a lecture on the Visual Poetry in Italy, at 11.00 am, at Auditorium Santa Margherita. Afterwards, the opening of the Study Center SCORE will take place at Dipartimento di Filosofia e Beni Culturali.
Opening of what could be considered as the first Study Center in Italy, that aims, through research activities, to enhance and spread verbo-visual researches (Lettrism, Concrete Poetry, Visual Poetry, Sound Poetry), developed in Europe and all over the world after the World War II .
The whole documentary heritage (artworks, editions, magazines, books, artist's books, letters, posters, flyers, audio and video recordings) part of Luigi Bonotto's collection will be made available for the researchers of the Study Center SCORE.
Fondazione Bonotto identified in the Dipartimento di Filosofia e Beni Culturali of the University Ca 'Foscari a prestigious partner, especially because the Department was already the office of Laboratory Phonodia, the first online and multilingual archive in Italy dedicated to contemporary poets' voice.
The SCORE Study Centre will be equipped with a Scientific Council (Board), with qualified academic staff within and outside the Department itself and a management committee (Director), who will work with Fondazione Bonotto planning and implementing the activities of the Centre .
