"Contemporary Gathering".Bassano del Grappa. 6th of September 2008 - 12th of September 2012

Within the event "L'Adunata del Contemporaneo" (Contemporary Gathering), the archivio Bonotto is presenting the installation by Antonio Riello: an illuminated writing of 40 meters, around the façade of the building, future headquarter of the collection.
On the 6th September at 8.00 p.m. at the Ex-Macello in Bassano del Grappa along the right bank of the Brenta during the event "L'Adunata del Contemporaneo," the Archivio Bonotto is presenting the installation: " Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" by the artist Antonio Riello.
The intervention consists in an illuminated writing of 40 meters, around the façade of the building, future headquarter of the important contemporary art collection belonging to the Bonotto family.
On invitation of the Archivio Bonotto, Antonio Riello has created a sort of artistic celebration of error (in this specific case the writing refers to an event of the year anno that will occur in the next four months), by dealing in an ironic and symbolic way the necessity of contemporary art of looking ahead through the “disarticulation” of time.
Not new to this kind of operation, the artist has always intervened on the identity of building destined to contemporary art, such as Mart, the Kunsthalle Wien, the Pomodoro Foundation in Milan, and soon the Baltic in Newcastle, through installations that involve camouflages and true changes in the destination of use.
The goal to open interactive connections with the cultural life of the city: with this project, the first of a series of expected interventions of Public Art, the Archivio Bonotto is the centre of a new contemporary vision promoting new ways of thinking and doing art, completely in the direction of innovation. At three-hundred-sixty degrees. The Contemporary Gathering.
